Supports the delivery of new and enhanced product offerings to the insurance market by designing and implementing the key hierarchical models that support the configuration of all policy forms. Creates and maintains product definitions in a centralized repository. May also include identifying and designing critical enhancements to existing business practices and workflows, product changes and deployments to policy administration systems.
In partnership with Product Management, may drive Product Ownership for the forms team on large-scale system transformation efforts. Owns prioritization and direction of associated scrum team and is responsible for ensuring successful delivery of form features and stories to transition forms into SmartComm integration with PolicyCenter.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Performs a combination of duties in accordance with departmental guidelines:
- Drives the high-level design of policy form solutions. Consults with the client area to analyze system requirements and capabilities, identifies associated risks, and resolves problems. May act as a liaison between clients and applications area.
- Prepares, tests and deploys to all levels of product changes to policy administration systems.
- Plans and leads product management activities related to pre-production testing, user acceptance testing, and implementation of vendor software upgrades and enhancements to enterprise product management suite of tools.
- Acts as lead for major form initiatives including establishing project plans, resource allocation, identification and management of inter-department dependencies.
- Complex maintenance of product configurations in the centralized repository including creation of product and coverage objects, design, and customized product specification documentation.
May perform additional duties as assigned.

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
- Solid knowledge of business, IT, and industry functions as they pertain to the Product Management cycle including, Product Development, Underwriting, Claim, Legal, Regulatory.
- Strong computer skills including understanding of systems development methodologies, tools, Microsoft Office, Smart Communications, Oracle Documaker, Guidewire PolicyCenter.
- Champion for the adoption of new Agile technologies and methodologies
- Proven ability to work directly with Product Management, business stakeholders and technical/product teams.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree, in a related discipline, or equivalent.
- Typically a minimum of seven years of related work experience.
- Experience with insurance products and policy forms
- Successful track record with Agile methodologies.
