The franchised Super 8 by Wyndham location in Las Vegas, Nevada is seeking a Assistant General Manager (Franchise) to join its team at the Super 8 by Wyndham Las Vegas.
The Role
This position involves coordinating hotel staff activities and operations as directed, while also providing support to the General Manager.
What you'll do
- Assigns duties to staff and monitors performance to ensure adherence to hotel policies and procedures
- Provides staff training, including safety training
- Selects or assists in hiring hotel staff and completes all new hire paperwork
- Reviews employee performance and manages disciplinary actions and terminations
- Maintains accurate records (e.g., cash flow, direct bills, credit card receipts, registration/reservation cards, IRS documentation)
- Conducts or assists with staff meetings
- Follows all franchise, company, and standard operating procedures
- Receives and resolves guest complaints and employee issues
- Performs General Manager duties in their absence
- Available 24/7 with reliable transportation
- Covers shifts in all departments as scheduled by the General Manager
- Communicates with groups and travel agents to accommodate special room/rate requests
- Assists with sales and marketing efforts as directed
- Responds to inquiries about hotel policies and services
- Assists General Manager with annual wage scale surveys and ensures wages follow guidelines
- Performs additional duties as assigned by management

- Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel
- Ability to build and motivate team members at all levels; excellent communication and leadership skills for hotel success
- Exceptional leadership and team-building skills; able to develop staff effectively
- Strong skills in employee and guest service training
Required Qualifications/Experience
- Minimum of an Associate’s degree preferred
- Minimum 5 years of related experience and/or management training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 3-5 years of experience in guest relations/front desk required
- Ability to work long shifts, up to 12 hours
- Flexible availability for weekdays, nights, and weekends
- Valid Driver’s License required
- Schedule may vary based on business needs
