Description:In this role with the NextGen GEO Operations & Sustainment team, you be responsible for the successful implementation, integration, and sustainment support of a multi-site classified network with a variety of locations and vendor hardware.
Responsibilities for a Network Engineer include but are not limited to:
- Configuration and management of Juniper and Cisco switches and routers, firewalls, and support to system administration team in deployment at new sites.
- Support the design, build, test, and troubleshoot computer systems.
- Network and System Administration.
- Workstation and server configuration.
- Maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Working with the System Administrator, Hardware, and Software teams to maintain/update system.
- Install/build rack mounted systems.
Basic Qualifications:- Final Secret clearance prior to start and ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance
- CompTIA Security+ certification
- Hands-on experience designing, deploying and managing LAN and WAN networks
- Experience with Linux/RHEL
Desired Skills:- Experience in SPACE Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR) Systems
- Sound knowledge of network architecture, topologies, engineering, design, implementation, and testing
- Familiarity with communication products including router, switches, firewalls, Domain Name Servers (DNS) and data encryption products.
- Certifications in the industry vendors Juniper/Cisco
- Understanding of standard DoD security practices such as, STIG/RMF compliance and system accreditation implementation efforts
- Experience with monitoring, network diagnostic, and network analytic tools
- Network and Linux/RHEL automation utilizing Ansible
Virtualization utilizing VMWare
- Document existing and new network architectures using Visio
- Experience with Agile environments

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: Standard Monday to Friday 40 hour work week
Pay Rate:The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Maryland, Washington or Washington DC is $82,200 - $157,500. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
