KBR’s National Security Solutions team provides high-end engineering and advanced technology solutions to our customers in the intelligence and national security communities. The Senior Software Development/IT Lead shall perform tasks primarily defined in the Statement of Work (SOW).

Key Responsibilities:
The Senior Software Development/IT Lead shall apply the principles, theories, and methods of computer science and information technology.
- Lead a technical team of applications developers
- Plan, prioritize and organize software development related tasks for the development team
- Manage customer relationships to ensure satisfaction
- Consult with client to develop formal user requirements
- Work with team to conceptualize user interface layout and design
- Architect, develop, and operate system environments to support data storage, development of new models and tools, and daily CAAG operations
- Translate user requirements from a formal requirements document into an software application and/or database design
- Develop, test, implement and maintain complex software applications and/or databases
- Guides, develops, and maintains databases, custom software, web applications, and new models/tools
- Oversee the CAAG’s data infrastructure to include FT networks, systems administration, accreditation, and licensing
- Manage COTS tools deployment and administration
- Manage and coordinate with NRO TT personnel to ensure the CAAG operates in accordance with NRO FT policies including information assurance and coordinating approvals through the risk management framework
- Work under minimal technical guidance
- Draft technical program documentation, such as end-user operational instructions
- Develop and maintain software applications and/or databases, including web applications and user interfaces.
- Privileged users must possess IA certification in accordance with NRO Directive 50-5 and DoD 8570.01-M.
Senior Software Development/IT Lead (Key Person) is expected to be able to lead a team, either directly or matrixed, and as such should be familiar / capable w/ the technologies the subordinates may have.
Possible subordinate (direct/matrixed) personnel shall possess technical experience similar to that described in the above Key Personnel Senior Software Development/FT Lead, adjusting to years of experience and level of responsibility per labor category (e.g., Junior resources work with less independence and on less complex problems compared to Senior resources. Non-key personnel do not need to have the team leadership experience).
Subordinate team as a whole shall comprise the following skills and experiences:
- TS/SCI with Polygraph
- Master’s Degree with 9-14 years plus 8 years or more of Team Leadership. Candidates with a Bachelor’s Degree acceptable with 2 additional years of relevant experience. Software development and testing
- Database development
- Relational databases and SQL
- Java, Python, Groovy, Grails, JSON, XML, HTML
- Web applications development
- FT systems administration and accreditation
- Administer and maintain user accounts and Windows-based computers in a cloud environment
- Systems security
The Senior Software Development/IT Lead position requirements are for a Master’s Degree with 9-14 years plus 8 years or more of Team Leadership. Candidates with a Bachelor’s Degree acceptable with 2 additional years of relevant experience.
