This will be a hybrid role split between 2 days in the office and 2-3 days working remote.
Some of your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
• Administering requisition processing, catalog and inventory control, and receiving of materials.
• Checking or creating parts and materials in the Master Data Catalog, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all attributes (description, part number, UNSPSC code, UOM, etc.).
• Recording, preparing and distributing status reports.
We are seeking someone with a keen eye for detail, excellent time management/prioritization, and a strong customer service focus. You should be a person who thrives in a diverse environment and who is comfortable communicating at all levels of an organization, verbally and in writing. To be successful in this role, you should have a sense of genuine, engaging curiosity, and a desire for continuous learning along with superior problem solving and analytical skills.
**This position will be located in the Chennai, India area. Relocation is not provided.
REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor's degree and at least one (1) year of directly related materials specialist experience; an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
• Federal Government contracts/subcontracts experience
• Proficiency with MS office applications (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
Preferred Qualifications:
• Two (2)+ years of experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Bachelors degree preferred in Supply Chain Management, Business Management, or closely related fields
• Experience with Deltek (CostPoint)
• Experience with commercial and/or defense contracts/materials highly desired
