Job Summary
Are you looking to have an impact on a large technology organization and the work of thousands of developers? If you are passionate about reducing cognitive load and toil for developers, then Developer Experience (DevX) Organization is the place for you!
Comcast’s DevX organization creates an extensible ecosystem of solutions, evolving based on deep partnerships, that empower Comcast’s Engineering community to do more of what they love and feel deeply connected to their impactful work.
DevX believes we can make developers happier, more focused, and more innovative. We do this by providing tools and automated processes that reduce the impact non-functional requirements have on our developer’s lives.
As the leader of the DevX Product Management team, you and your team of product managers will survey the Comcast engineering community and discover from their needs what our products should be. You will work alongside the engineers and architects in DevX to bring them to life. You’ll inspire and direct cross-functional collaboration, translating complex technical requests into products with measurable impact. As a passionate advocate for our engineering customers, you’ll cultivate a culture of creativity, agility, collaboration, and excellence.
Job Description
The DevX team works out of our Philadelphia and West Chester, PA offices. While we are open to candidates in both locations, our preference is for the Senior Director to be based in Philadelphia. This role is not open to virtual/remote hiring and we are unable to offer sponsorship.
About the team
The DevX product team is deeply committed to bringing our engineers practical, cohesive, impactful solutions. We know that the practice of engineering is more complicated than ever before and reducing complexity takes careful thought. The team is full of curious, talented, and relentless product managers who think big, question everything, and iterate toward the future. We are fanatics for data and passionate about feedback.
What you will do
Comcast engineering teams are diverse both in technology and capability. The DevX product management team, led by the Sr. Director of Product Management, works to discover the needs of engineering teams and the size of our opportunity to serve them.
Build, prioritize, and align our DevX roadmap with an emphasis of delivering value consistently, as expected by our customers, and to our defined budget.
The key to agility is feedback loop. This role will curate and build feedback loops, both formal and informal, to gather the information that the team needs to iterate and drive programs to the highest value they can provide.
How we support you

What you will bring
Cross-Functional Collaboration – Experience working across teams (engineering, program management, centralized services) to align goals and deliver cohesive, impactful products.
Where you can make an impact
Accelerating innovation: driving the creation of innovative tools, tackling hard problems, and looking for new and better ways of working are all things that DevX strives for, and you’ll be able to position our teams to do them all.
We are interested in attracting a diverse set of candidates for this position. If you are not sure if you qualify, please err on the side of applying.
Our Values
- We value usable and working solutions now, without compromising quality over a perfect solution later.
- We start from the assumption that someone, somewhere has already figured out a solution to this problem; we value using their results over rediscovering them ourselves.
- We actively collaborate with our customers; we win when our customers win.
- We adopt a collaborative growth mindset and learn together along the way.
- We recognize that the best idea can come from anyone, and that effective leaders create ways to solicit and consider these ideas.
- We value making decisions with research and reason, with an open mind to experiment.
- While exploring diverse ideas, we value being able to pursue a plan together over everyone agreeing that the plan is the best one
- We are all leaders; we value individual responsibility over micromanagement.
- As members of DevX, we align to a set of outcomes over fighting turf wars; we get ahead by working together.
- We value attitude over aptitude; no {genius} jerks allowed.
- We value actively and humbly seeking and appreciating honest feedback over preserving our egos.
- We value building teams with individuals from various backgrounds and experiences; there is no typical DevX-er.
