As an Associate Alternative you will play a critical role helping our ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) clients incorporate alternative investments into their overall wealth management experience. In this role, you will support both clients and the Senior Alternative Investment Consultants (AICs) by delivering a white-glove experience to eligible clients interested in investing in alternative investments, including private equity, private credit, hedge funds, and private real estate. If you have a passion for serving clients, understanding capital markets and building portfolios, and working cross-functionally within a dynamic and highly impactful team, this may be the role for you.
Key Responsibilities
- Support senior team members in delivering timely, accurate, and suitable alternative investment advice to clients
- Coordinate with various internal teams and with clients to onboard alternative investment commitments
- Manage pipeline of opportunities
- Assist in client meeting preparation
- Schedule and participate in client meetings
- Assist in the subscription and reregistration process for client investments
- Draft internal compliance and suitability documentation for client investment recommendations
- Develop expertise in private markets
- Help analyze client portfolio holdings and provide analysis to senior partners
- Provide ongoing service to clients and internal partners by providing investment specifics (e.g. capital call detail, investment highlights, etc.)
What you have
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial services or client service role
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Series 7 required
- Series 66 required (may be obtained with a 180-day COE)
- Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and facilitation skills
- Well-organized and disciplined with high attention to detail
- Self-starter: takes initiative and can work independently
- Inquisitive, analytical, and strategic thinker
- A client service-oriented mindset
- High-energy, positive, entrepreneurial in spirit while being goal-oriented and results-driven
- Flexible and adaptable in working with various business domains
- Excellent technology skills with an ability to quickly learn new software applications
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience serving high net worth clientele and resolving escalations
- Understanding of public and private investment life cycle, risk, and portfolio modeling
- Familiarity with tax issues and liquidity management
