Job Description
Visa Direct’s mission is to put the power of money movement in our clients’ hands. The SVP of Product Strategy role is vital to delivering on that mission and achieving our long-term growth objectives for Visa Direct and money movement. This critical role is Accountable for defining and delivering on the Visa Direct Product Roadmap. Key partners include Visa Direct’s SVP of Technology, Chief Revenue Officer and Head of Network and Operations. Near term priorities include driving our integration journey to defining and prioritizing portfolio-wide product investments and merging all product platforms into a cohesive infrastructure. We seek a transformational leader, with deep payments and product management experience, to lead the growth and expansion of our product portfolio with a focus on developing mature product portfolio management practices. This position will be responsible for fostering the growth of a high performing team of product managers and product architects. This role provides an exciting opportunity to lead a global team to collaborate with cross functional leaders on product innovation initiatives to drive growth.
This role reports to the EVP, Head of Commercial and Money Movement Solutions.
Responsibilities
Drive a holistic product strategy and roadmap for Visa Direct product portfolio. Lead stakeholder collaboration, product requirements definition, investment planning and use case development efforts.
As a senior vice president of product, you will be responsible for entire product lifecycle of Visa Direct solutions (from ideation to launch), supporting Operational, Risk 1st line, 2nd line oversight, network, compliance, and regulatory reporting functions.
Work closely with engineering teams and architects across multiple regions to ensure the technology solutions meets business goals
Demonstrating deep technical knowledge and expertise in software development, including frameworks, and best practices
Lead assessment of product demand from clients to prioritize product investments, ensure product investments are optimized to meet client needs and drive growth.
Collaborate with the Technology, CRO, Network and Ops, Client Services, and Finance teams to create value for clients by accelerating the definition and delivery of Visa Direct products.
Manage global product requirements intake, partner with partners on requirements definition, prioritization and execution of cross portfolio product deliverables required to meet business objectives of portfolio-wide initiatives.
Create an environment that fosters a continuous focus on customer and market needs. Build buy-in from senior executives and key stakeholders with persuasive, data-driven analysis of customer needs, business value proposition, and revenue opportunity.
Facilitate active engagement with sales and solutions teams on new opportunity assessments including strategic fit, investment requirements and business case development, lead portfolio-wide buy, build, partner analysis.
Ensure consistent execution of product plans that result in on-time and on-budget product delivery.
Develop and grow a high-performing team, with deep payment industry knowledge and expertise, lead, and coach a team of product managers to solve challenging customer and market problems with innovative solutions that will propel Visa’s growth and leadership in payments.
This role is accountable for driving business growth through effective product management. They define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to product success, such as user engagement, conversion rates, and customer satisfaction. They use these metrics to identify areas for improvement in the overall customer experience.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- 15 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 12 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA/ JD/MD) or a minimum of 10 years of work experience with a PhD
- Engineering or bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, Operations, or a related field. MBA degree preferred.
- Proven experience in a similar product leadership role within the financial services industry, preferably in money movement, payments, or related domains.
- Strong understanding of money movement products and technologies, including B2B connect, Visa Direct, and Currency Cloud.
- Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of driving process improvements.
- In-depth knowledge of risk and compliance practices within the financial services industry.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and stakeholders simultaneously.
- Collaborative mindset, with a strong focus on building relationships and driving cross-functional collaboration across different regions.

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 300,000 to 450,000 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
