Description
The Defense Enclave Services (DES) contract provides network modernization to Defense Agencies and Field Activities in a partnership with Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) to deliver a single digital enterprise that establishes a modern infrastructure foundation and unified architecture needed to deliver cohesive combat support capabilities to the warfighter.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Must hold an active Secret clearance prior to start. (US Citizenship required)
Responsibilities:
Recruit, hire, and develop a team of talented Project Managers and project engineers.
Provide project leadership and guidance for all contractor personnel assigned to DES related task(s) including assigning tasks to contractor personnel, supervising on-going technical efforts, and managing the project performance.
Oversee the entire project lifecycle, from initiation to closure. Provide quality and efficiency of the project performance, to include both technical issues and businesses processes.
Ensure adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
Responsible for meeting all technical, financial, and contractual and performance requirements to bring about the successful completion of projects
Utilize expert communication skills needed to direct the skilled technical resources and report on the technical progress, issues, and problem areas, as well as write and review technical documents
Develop and execute strategic plans for project management operations.
Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies. Report all significant technical challenges, problems, issues, as soon as they are discovered, as appropriate
Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback to team members.
Foster a positive and collaborative team culture.
Establish clear expectations and performance standards.
Conduct regular project reviews and status updates with key stakeholders.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align project goals with business objectives.
Proactively identify and assess project risks.
Develop and implement risk mitigation plans.
Monitor and manage project risks throughout the project lifecycle.
Stakeholder Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
Effectively communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders.
Resolve conflicts and negotiate solutions to ensure project success.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree Computer Science or related field and 12+ years of relevant experience. Equivalent years experience may be considered in lieu of educational requirements.
5+ years of experience in IT project management or program management
Proven track record of managing multiple IT projects simultaneously.
Experience in financial management, resource allocation, and risk management.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Proficiency in project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
Familiar with project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated ability to effectively lead a program in a high tempo, high demand environment
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent
Strong understanding of IT governance frameworks and standards.
Understanding of cloud computing, artificial intelligence, or other emerging technologies can be beneficial.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $101,400.00 - $183,300.00
