The Quality Technician is responsible for the support of Quality functions at CPC. The Quality Technician will partner with a Quality Engineer to lead and manage product non-conformances and customer complaints activities to improve CPC’s product/service quality. This is a key, high-visibility role that will help support capacity, product, and process improvements while also driving efficiencies in the Quality team and improve supplier performance with CPC components.
Job Responsibilities
- Support Supplier Quality, New Product Introduction, and Retool initiatives within the Biopharma business unit
- Lead, train, and manage sort, rework, and various actions through component / product dispositions
- Manage and maintain organization of quarantined material
- Respond quickly and efficiently to supplier issues, drive initial testing/evaluation and coordinate communication with the Quality Engineer to key stakeholders
- Provides direct technical responses to customer issues
- Perform product testing to understand product performance deficiencies
- Implement corrective actions to address product or service deficiencies
- Works with Quality Engineers to ensure robust investigations and corrective actions
- Operates within CPC Quality and inventory management systems
- Active participant in Continuous Improvement and Lean projects
- Keeps current on internal and external education and training
- Acts as QA liaison in cross-functional projects and CPC representative to suppliers/customers
- Adheres to all safety regulations
- Demonstrates support of CPC core values
- Performs other job duties as assigned to meet business needs
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 4+ years of experience in a regulated environment
- Good technical communication and teamwork skills
- Self-driven and able to work with limited supervision
- Ability to self-prioritize and multitask in support of engineering/manufacturing projects
Preferred Qualifications
- Two-year degree or certification in a technical discipline
- General understanding of metal machining and/or plastic injection molding processes
- Experience with medical device and/or pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities
- Experience with metrology equipment and measurement methodology (GD&T)
- Ability to read technical prints and specifications
- ERP software experience (e.g., SAP, Oracle, IQMS)
- Detailed knowledge of CPC parts or coupler technology
- Working knowledge of MS Office; Word, Excel, & Power Point
