.HOW YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT:
This role reports into a VP of Merchandising, has 1-2 direct reports (if applicable), and is based in our Buckhead office in our hybrid work environment.
40%: SBU Strategy:
- Lead business “take-aways” and “deep dives”; generate new strategies, reinforce existing ones, drive change for the fastest-growing business segment
- Weekly In-Season business management: utilize reporting tools (Tableau, Excel) to run and analyze selling reports; create and present selling hindsights regularly, to influence future line structures
- Lead cross-functional team: support creative decisions for assortment with Design, Art and PDC and support financial planning deliverables with Retail Planning and Operations
- Partner with Global Sales team to drive growth for Wholesale Channel
- Develop strong understanding of the marketplace and key competitors; identify trends and white space opportunities for growth
20%: Marketing, Store Visual & Site Direction:
- Support development of unique Little Planet Marketing strategies to ensure alignment across email, SMS, Site Copy, Social campaigns, etc.
- Partner with Site Merchandising team to drive brand strategy for the website and app including landing page structure and imagery
- Meet with Visual Merchandising team to convey seasonal assortment strategies for a variety of store formats
15%: Costing, Pricing, Margin Management:
- Manage margin and deliver revenue goals based on financial plans across Retail and Wholesale
- Own product margin, costing decisions and category roll-ups
15%: System Management/Style Set Ups/Assortment attributions and rankings:
- Support team with systemic deliverables; ensuring accuracy of information for release to downstream tools
- Use understanding of current trends and brand strategies to guide product ranking and mapping
10%: Team Development:
- Maintain strong cross functional relationships
- Support seasonal calendar development, meet deadlines and milestone meeting needs
WE’D LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF:
Must have:
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- 4-7 Years of Experience in retail buying or merchandising position; experience developing a line structure is critical
Preferred skills and experience:
- Ability to understand and translate trend for our brand
- Ability to develop product and assess creative
- Strong knowledge of retail metrics to effectively analyze results across channels and markets
- Experience working with design, sourcing, product development, tech design, and other cross-functional partners
- Well-developed presentation skills needed to present to senior level executives and key accounts
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
