The Division of Electrical & Computer Engineering (ECE) (https://www.lsu.edu/eng/ece/) in the School of Electrical Engineering & Computer Science at Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge, seeks outstanding candidates with expertise in computer engineering for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor starting August 2025.
Computer engineering areas of interest include, but are not limited to, acceleration and optimization of machine learning and other workloads, processing in the memory hierarchy, hardening architectures against cyberattacks, data-centric architectures, embedded architectures and IoT, etc.
Louisiana State University is Louisiana's Flagship University and is committed to academic excellence. We are located in Baton Rouge, a small affordable city about an hour away from New Orleans. Faculty have access to several large computing clusters which are regularly upgraded, including the recently commissioned 547-node QB4. Visit hpc.lsu.edu for more information. Duties of the position include establishing a vigorous, externally funded research program, publishing in highly ranked journals and conference proceedings, supervising graduate students, advising undergraduate and graduate students, teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels, participation in University service, including committee activities, and maintaining professional standards and levels of competence.
Responsibilities:

50% Teaching at the graduate and undergraduate levels in area of candidate's specialization in the field of electrical and computer engineering. Supervising teaching/research assistants and advising students. Maintain professional standards and level of competence.
Minimum Qualifications:
Ph.D. in Computer Engineering or a closely related field. Candidates who have satisfied all other doctoral requirements but dissertation submission and will complete their Ph.D. by time of employment will also be considered.
Demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching graduate and undergraduate courses in electrical or computer engineering, conducting research, and the ability to attract research sponsorship.
