Security Operations Center Analyst
The Opportunity:
Are you looking for an opportunity to protect critical infrastructure from the constant onslaught of Cyber-attacks? If you want to sharpen your skills by analyzing threats real-time, you want to be a Security Operations Center (SOC) analyst.
As an Analyst on our SOC team, you’ll improve monitoring strategies and analyze threats, using state-of-the-art tools, such as HBSS, Splunk, Cylance, ESM, NSM, Netflow, IDS, StealthWatch, and ForeScout. You’ll work with the team to comprehend, mitigate, and respond to threats quickly, restoring operations and limiting the impact. You’ll manage efforts to figure out just how many systems are affected and assist recovery efforts. You’ll combine threat intelligence, event data, and assessments from recent events and identify patterns to understand attackers’ goals to stop them from succeeding. This is a great opportunity to build your Cybersecurity skills with hands-on experience in threat assessment and incident response.

You Have:
3+ years of experience in Cybersecurity
Experience with SIEM and other log analysis and monitoring platforms
Experience with threat intelligence platforms, such as MISP
Experience with Python or Powershell
Ability to convey incident information to leadership
TS/SCI clearance
HS diploma or GED
8570 IAT II Certification, including Security+
Nice If You Have:
Experience with working in a Security Operations Center or Regional Cyber Center
Experience with supervising team members
Experience with using endpoint tools to successfully hunt for adversarial behavior
Knowledge of Splunk and creating Splunk content, including Alerts and Dashboards
Splunk certification
Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $96,700.00 to $220,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
