2nd shift- Full Time
Job duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
-
Electrically troubleshoot and repair complex domestic and foreign machine tools and related equipment, including: Ingersoll, DMG Mori, Liebherr, G&L, Pietro Carnaghi, Pama, a variety of various cranes and hoists, conveyors, furnaces, Miller and Lincoln Welding power sources and a Paint Booth.

Troubleshoot and repair relay logic machines and CNC/PLC controlled machines/equipment, including: - Fanuc, Siemens, Allen Bradley, and a variety of other controllers in the machine shop

Operate measurement and feedback scales and encoder systems, including: Heidenhain and Inductosyn
Required Qualifications:
-
License Credential with the State of Wisconsin as an Electrician or, Journeyman Electrician/Electronic Technician (state Indentured) or, Associate Degree in electrical/electronics or, Union Journeyman Card or, minimum 5 to 7 years’ experience in the maintenance and repair of machinery and machine tools as an Industrial Electrician or, equivalent military experience.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in the electrical repair of machine tools and related equipment in an industrial environment OR equivalent military experience OR successful completion of an approved, field-related college/technical school program

Experience with troubleshooting and repairing relay logic machines and CNC/PLC controlled machines

Experience with AC/DC analog and digital drives
-
Possession of basic mechanical skills

Ability to read and interpret machine electrical schematics and ladder logic.

Ability to operate basic tools to complete the job

Ability to demonstrate intermediate or higher proficiency in reading and interpreting machine tool prints/schematics

Ability to work well individually and in a team environment

Willingness to work overtime to support production demands
-
Skilled and experienced with preventative and predictive maintenance practices and technology.

Skilled and experienced with the troubleshooting and repair of welding machinery and equipment.
-
Skilled and experienced with the troubleshooting and repair of variable frequency drives.
-
Skilled and experienced with the troubleshooting and repair of programmable logic controllers.
-
Skilled and experienced with the troubleshooting and repair of heating, ventilating and air conditioning equipment.

This position is located at the Caterpillar manufacturing facility located in South Milwaukee, WI

2nd shift - Full Time

The hourly rate depending on experience is Step 1 -$37.83 Step 2 - $39.00 Step 3 - $40.17 hr includes a $1.00 shift differential.
