As the Manager, Product Management you will report to the Director of Product Operations and are responsible for supporting various business functions, including the sales and service organizations, and executing operational processes required to ensure accuracy of ongoing product administration. This will include maintaining the integrity of administration, processes and product rules, and alignment with original design, pricing, and regulatory filings for 300+ fixed and variable annuity product & benefit combinations.
What you can expect:
- Develop, launch and lead cross-functional execution team in Annuities operational processes, such as prospectus development, filing, implementation support, including SEC filings for registered variable annuity products, commissions, fund changes, rate setting, and firm/state on-boarding
- Making data driven decisions, with a commitment to continuous process improvement and process automation; champion and manage change, or implementation of processes, effectively identifying actions steps and resources
- Collaborating with various business partners and control functions to inform and gain support for resolutions and new or enhanced product policies and processes
- Supporting ad hoc assessments, project support and operational efforts requiring subject matter expertise as either a project team member, individual contributor or team lead
- Developing executive summaries as needed to communicate status, issues and recommendations related to deliverables
- Managing relationships with vendors to ensure deliverables are met for SEC filings and ensuring compliance with Prudential’s Vendor Governance policies and procedures.
- Managing and forecast budgeting expenses for the prospectus management process and SEC filings
- Provide new product development project support and implementation support on product processes including prospectus, commission, rate setting, fund event, and firm/state onboarding subject matter expertise
- Assist leadership in developing strategies for product end-to-end processes, such as rate changes, commission management, fund changes, and other processes
- Maintain understanding of current objectives and strategies related to product processes
What you’ll need:
- 4-7 years’ relevant experience; Annuities or Variable Life Insurance experience required
- Bachelor’s degree or other relevant experience required
- Strong technical skills with proficiency in using MS Word, Excel and Adobe software
- Experience with content management systems/tools a plus
- Ability to understand, explain, and write complex technical material in a clear and concise manner
- Continuous improvement or process optimization experience
- Sound business judgement and critical thinking skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional collaboration skills and ability to partner with a wide variety of other functions and levels, including Law, Product, Financial Teams, and Investment Management
It’d be a plus if you had:
- Strength of convictions and ability to influence decisions and champion operational changes
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to develop and execute plans
- Solution oriented with strong problem-solving skills with a demonstrated ability to leverage resource materials to support decisions
- Variable product development experience and/or detailed knowledge of Prudential’s annuity product and investment portfolio
- In depth knowledge of SEC filings (Form N-4, S-1, S-3), variable product law, and financial services regulatory compliance a plus
- Knowledge of variable product contracts and prospectuses – development, implementation, and delivery
- Experience managing a software or technology vendor a plus

What we offer you:
Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $125,000.00 to $186,100.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills.
