Under general supervision, performs accurate and timely input of financial data into a Web-based application. Supports strong customer focus by providing fast, courteous, high-quality service to our field office underwriters.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Performs a combination of duties in accordance with departmental guidelines:
Retrieves and comprehends electronic financial statements (balance sheets and income statements),work-in-progress (WIP) and completed contract schedules from our Image/Workflow system and inputs statements/schedules data into Underwriting Tools.
Works closely with field underwriting to ensure data has been received and input accurately within specified performance parameters.
Communicates frequently in a professional manner with internal customers in field offices via telephone or written correspondence as required.
Understands and be proficient in the use of PC applications including Image/Workflow, Merlin, Underwriting Tools and MS Office.
May participate in training programs to ensure adequate training and cross training of team members. May also assist in the development, documentation, and implementation of training programs.
May perform additional duties as assigned.
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
1. Ability to read and interpret construction company financial data (balance sheets, income statements, work-in-process and completed contract schedules) preferred.
2. Reading comprehension, accurate math and spelling skills, as well as the ability to work with minimum supervision.
3. Demonstrated interpersonal skills, including oral and written communication, listening, problem-solving abilities, organizational and time management skills are necessary.
4. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite as well as other business-related software.
5. 10-key proficiency preferred.
Education & Experience
1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Two to four years of experience in a professional environment.
3. Background in Finance or Accounting with exposure to interpreting financial statements required.
