Description:To develop, plan, layout, fabricate, and assemble sheet metal or extruded parts and assemblies for all types of aircraft, and/or special projects.
This occupation requires the development, assembly, rework, modification, calibration and operational check of hydraulic and pneumatic test equipment and aerospace ground equipment used to check aircraft systems and components and/or general purpose pneumatic/hydraulic equipment.
To develop and completely fabricate by hand forming methods aircraft parts such as those involving deep draws and reverse double or compound contours. To design and build temporary tools and fixtures. To use hand and power forming equipment and precision measuring equipment.
Must use a good knowledge of shop theory and of related aircraft work and the ability to determine work methods and plan sequence of operations. to apply a knowledge of the forming characteristics of various metals and alloys. Must be able to read and understand technical data and blueprints involving detail parts and detail assemblies. Must use shop math, geometry and trigonometry.
To read and interpret tool orders, blueprints, tool designs, engineering release and schematics.
Basic Qualifications:
Experience with reading and interpreting Technical Data and Blueprints involving detail parts and detail assemblies, tool designs, engineering releases and schematics.
Experience with using shop math, geometry, and trigonometry.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
