As member of the Annuity Sales Enablement team, you will identify and develop strategic Fintech distribution opportunities focused on Financial Planning Platforms, build key relationships, and execute impactful programs. The role will have responsibilities to design and deliver innovative training programs for advisors and wholesalers, evaluate performance solutions and collaborate with leaders and partners to close performance gaps – all while driving our annuity distribution to new heights.
Additional details:
- Conducts technical, professional and management training and programs including, developmental or interactive skills training to entry through advanced-level associates. Identifies, sources and schedules delivery resources for identified Learning & Performance needs.
- Evaluates the effectiveness of performance solutions against established metrics and return on investment expectations in meeting organization's plans, goals and strategies. Provides assistance or feedback in the design of evaluation tools.
- Designs and develops learning solutions to meet identified performance gaps for all levels of associates and management. May identify, source or partner with technical or third party resources to ensure appropriate design and development solution.
- Partners and consults with business leaders to analyze performance gaps. Performs need analysis to determine performance gap solutions consistent with business needs, learning department goals and corporate strategies.
This position will work out of our Columbus, OH location.

As a Senior Consultant, you'll identify potential new firms for Financial Technology (FinTech) distribution and integration opportunities. You'll develop and present business cases for new opportunities and partner with leadership to create a strategic distribution strategy for the FinTech market.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Identifies new distribution and integration opportunities. Maintains relationships with key decision makers at firms. Responsible for all communications, conflict resolution, and compliance with contractual agreements within assigned target market.
Builds relationships with key decision makers at FinTech companies. Works with partner platforms to determine how to optimize solutions. Works with leadership to implement a strategy for wholesalers to use key solutions.
Partners with leadership to build distribution strategic plan for FinTech market. Leads execution of analysis, documentation of all current partners, existing functionalities and crafts plan for improving efforts, partnerships and sales through key partners.
Partners internally to align around partner vision, build opportunities across product lines and/or sales teams, where possible, and to resolve issues that would prevent Nationwide from partnering with key FinTech platforms.
Manges associates, including performance, salary planning and administration, training and development, workflow planning, hiring and placement and disciplinary actions. Provides coaching and feedback. Demonstrates outstanding leadership and manages performance according to Nationwide standards.
Fulfills registered principal duties by supervising registered reps and monitoring their correspondence.
May perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Reporting Relationships: Reports to Director, Annuity Distribution.
Typical Skills and Experiences:
Education: Undergraduate degree in business administration or related field preferred.
License/Certification/Designation: FINRA Series 6/7, Series 24/26, Series 63/66, life and health insurance required. Advanced designation (CFP, CLU, ChFC) preferred.
Experience: Sales or business development experience required, preferably in the insurance or financial services industry.
Knowledge, Abilities and Skills: Expert knowledge of sales and business development practices and FinTech platforms. Knowledge of insurance and/or financial services products. Strong ability to communicate. Strong ability to understand and analyze business information needs, analyze data requests, and develop relationships. Expert presentation and leadership skills. Comfort in the presence of executive leadership. Competencies include customer focus, interpersonal savvy, relationship building, drive for results, optimism, dealing with ambiguity, listening, patience, problem solving, directing others and sales.
Other criteria, including leadership skills, competencies and experiences may take precedence.
