Job Summary
We are excited about the possibility of you joining our team of dedicated maintainers, analysts, and engineers, where we focus on operational test and evaluation (OT&E) for Air Reserve Component (ARC) units and other Major Commands (MAJCOMs) with lead command authority over various ARC Mission Design Series (MDS) systems, along with their associated weapons, sensors, and support equipment. Roles and Responsibilities:
- Work with Air Force major commands (MAJCOM), system program offices (SPOs) and other related engineering offices.
- Conduct research, development, test and evaluation to determine the operational suitability and effectiveness of candidate developmental sensors and systems that address modernization requirement identified in the annual ANG Weapons System Modernization Priorities Book, and Air Force Reserve Modernization Book as well as requirements provided to AATC by the MAJCOMs.
- Evaluate reliability, maintainability, quality, supportability, and interoperability (RMQSI) support in relation to the following weapons systems: KC-1 35, C/LC/ EC/HC/MC-130, C-5, C-17, E-8C, F- 16C/D, A-1 OC, HH-60G, F- 15C/D, MQ-1 Predator, MQ-9 Reaper, Distributed Common Ground System (DCGS), and Command & Control (C2) as well as support equipment for other ARC assets.
- Assist and provide expertise with System Acquisition Planning and Management, Systems Interoperability Assessment, Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) Implementation, Logistics Management and Planning Tools, Sustainment Management Planning, Integrated Reliability and Maintainability (R&M) Test Planning, and Affordability and Life Cycle Cost Analysis.
- The employee will author test plans and reports which examine key components such as technical orders, tools/support equipment, training, and manning when evaluating programs under test to ensure ability to be used in an operational environment common to Air Force
Basic Qualifications:
- Must have knowledge of the military maintenance organizational structure and operational functionality of aircraft maintenance.
- Must have knowledge of the aircraft organizational structure and operational functionality of Mission Generation (MG) functions.
- Must have experience in technical writing.
- Must hold current Secret or higher clearance level.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in the field of aerospace sciences or equivalent experience. In lieu of degree, 12+ years of relevant aircraft maintenance experience including 3 years of leadership roles.
- Research and program management skills that define the problem and establishing a formal requirement, begin the solution phase of any project by researching available product solutions to include existing and new technology.
- Familiar with the Air Force SPO procedures and logistics systems.
- Knowledge of the annual ANG Weapons System Modernization Priorities Book, and Air Force.
