We are seeking an experienced Pipeline Control Room Operator.

You will be responsible for the safe and reliable operation of the company’s pipeline network in the Gulf Coast. These pipelines transport Hydrogen, Carbon Monoxide, Syngas, Oxygen, Nitrogen, and Carbon Dioxide to a wide range of industrial customers.

Required Skills / Abilities:
Prior experience with Plant Operating Systems (such as Siemens PCS7, APACS, or Emerson Open Enterprise) is preferred “but not required.”
A minimum of five years of operations experience.
Strong computer skills, including ability to operate Microsoft Office.
Excellent communication skills.
Key Job Responsibilities:
Ensure the safe operation of the pipeline system within design limits through knowledge of and adherence to safe work practices and operating procedures.
Actively participate in the team’s Basic Safety Process (BSP), including leading emergency drills, what-if exercises, and system audits as required.
Ensure compliance with all applicable Federal and State regulations, including Control Room Management (CRM) protocols.
Ensure reliable and efficient operation of the pipeline systems by following guidance from the Multi-Plant Optimization (MPO) tool, Product Coordinators, and the CSC Manager to meet customer demand.
Monitor the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) displays and alarm screens and respond to normal and abnormal operating conditions across the pipeline systems.
Act as point of contact for communications on general operations and emergency events to local plant and pipeline teams, customers, Air Products management, and regulatory authorities.
Disseminate information across the organization by applying existing tools (including phone and email distribution lists and SAP Event Notifications).
Understand the detailed Emergency Response Plan, accept authority in an emergency to take all steps necessary to protect personnel, and ensure safe operation of pipelines up to and including shutting down pipelines.
Lead or support troubleshooting of undesired operation, either directly or in conjunction with the local team.
Minimum Hiring Requirements:
High school diploma or GED is required.
An associate degree in a technical field is preferred “but not required.”
Availability to work 12-hr rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Willing to be on call.
A valid driver’s license is required.
