Leidos has a challenging and exciting opportunity for a self-motivated Logistician to join our team supporting a large, complex, fast-paced program that uses Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodology. The contract provides system engineering, development, test, integration, and operational support to a program focused on injecting new technology and adding advanced capabilities while continuing to support an on-going mission and operational system. The selected individual will be responsible for managing hardware, software, and service purchases for a large, complex hardware/software system consisting of multiple geographically distributed nodes and diverse configurations within a multifaceted network environment. She/he will work closely with Infrastructure Teams, System Test, System Administration, Integration Engineers, and Software Engineers to identify purchase requirements and be part of the team that tracks hardware and software statuses across the program. The selected individual will create and maintain documentation as required.
Primary Responsibilities
The selected candidate will support the purchase of software licenses and hardware assets through all steps of the procurement life cycle. She/he will also track the hardware warranties and software maintenance periods to ensure there are no lapses in support. The selected individual will monitor several ticket queues and respond to requests as they are received within Service Level Agreements. She/he will support multiple Technical Task Orders and update the related Bills of Material, and will work with program team members to ensure a streamlined procurement of materials against program requirements. The selected individual will monitor material movement through the procurement process and resolve any impediments. She/he will engage the buyers and material planners to prioritize urgent procurement requests and coordinate the delivery of the material.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field and at least of 8 years of related experience in Logistics, Quality Control, Data Management, Hardware/Software Management, or related disciplines. Additional experience may be substituted for a Degree.
- Must have substantial knowledge of IT equipment, hardware, and software.
- Must be familiar with Bill of Materials (BOMs).
- Must be knowledgeable of purchase requisitions.
- Must be proficient with Excel Spreadsheets and familiar with formulas.
- Must be able to research parts and technical configurations based on engineering specifications.
- Must be familiar with hardware and software warranties, maintenance, and support.
- Must be familiar with Software licenses (subscriptions, term licenses, etc.).
- Must be able to research and create RMA’s (Return Material Authorization) based on prior purchase information (serial numbers, gov’t barcodes, model numbers, purchase dates, etc).
- Must be comfortable working with engineers, control account managers, and planners to develop and review quotes.
- Must be familiar with Logistics-related terms and concepts, including the difference between MFG’s, Resellers, and Vendors.
- Must have experience requesting quotes and working with buyers/material planners.
- Must be able to simultaneously manage multiple purchases at various stages of the purchase process (partial receipts, backorders, GR’s, Data Transfers, updating BOM’s, purchase close outs, keeping track of delivery dates, etc).
- Must be self-motivated, proactive, and capable of independently and effectively planning and prioritizing both daily tasking and on-going projects and processes.
- Must have a positive attitude and excellent people skills and be able to effectively interface with engineers, planners, and customers.
- Must possess strong organizational skills, be detailed oriented and be able to work independently in an Agile environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in an Agile development environment.
- System Administration experience and/or hands-on experience with hardware and software maintenance.
- Experience working as a Quality Control/Quality Assurance Specialist, Configuration Management Analyst, or Auditing Professional, particularly on a large system.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $78,000.00 - $141,000.00
The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
