The Nationwide Aviation Business Center provides safe, reliable, critical, time-sensitive travel, for Nationwide Insurance professionals to numerous locations across the United States. As an Aircraft Maintenance Technician, your role will include servicing and maintaining Nationwide’s corporate aircraft and providing outstanding customer service.
Job Description
Maintains aircraft including, preflight and postflight inspections, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance inspections (repairing discrepancies found during flight operations or during maintenance inspections).
Schedules and tracks maintenance using our maintenance tracking system.
Assists passengers and flight crews with baggage and any customer service-related items that may arise.
Supervises aircraft maintenance performed by third parties. Accompanies aircraft to maintenance visits and supervises progress on the aircraft. Works with maintenance providers on tasks either at their facility or ours and assists in finding solutions to problems.
Coordinates with the Chief of Maintenance on maintenance issues as well as process improvement for the department.
Services the aircraft; including fueling, fluid servicing and cleaning.
Works with our maintenance intern, mentoring and scheduling with tasks on aircraft or in the shop.
Assists with facility maintenance as needed.
May perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Reporting Relationships:Reports to Director, Chief of Maintenance - Aviation. This is an individual contributor role.
Typical Skills and Experiences:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
License/Certification/Designation:FAA Aircraft Mechanic Airframe & Powerplant Certification (A&P) Required. Inspection Authorization Certification (IA), NBAA Certified Aviation Manager (CAM) certified preferred.
Experience: Five or more years of verified experience as an active aircraft technician and five years confirmed experience on similar aircraftoperated by the company, including Bombardier Challenger 600 series aircraft.
Knowledge, Abilities and Skills: Proven knowledge in airframe, power plant, avionics, and related component repair. Must have good decision-making and communication skills.
Other criteria, including leadership skills, competencies and experiences may take precedence.
Staffing exceptions to the above Minimum Job Requirements must be approved by Aviation General Manager and the HR Officer.

Overtime Eligibility: Eligible (Nonexempt).
Working Conditions: Repair shop environment. Some extended hours, weekends and rotating shifts.
