Acquisition/Program Analyst
KBR is seeking a highly motivated Acquisition/Program Analyst (Secret Clearance) to join our dynamic team supporting the Program Management Activity (PMA) 265 Avionics Integrated Product Team (IPT) for the U.S. Navy. In this critical role, you will play a vital part in the development and execution of acquisition strategies and documentation that underpin the successful procurement and lifecycle management of advanced avionics systems for the F/A-18 aircraft. Your expertise will contribute to enhancing the capabilities of the Distributed Targeting Systems (DTS), Distributed Targeting Processor-Networked (DTP-N), and the Advanced Networking Infrastructure (ANI). As part of a collaborative team, you will ensure that all acquisition efforts comply with Department of Defense (DoD) regulations and best practices while effectively addressing the needs of our warfighters.
This position offers a flexible workplace setting. Candidates must be able to work on-site in Lexington Park, MD, at least 1 day a week.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist in the creation and approval of key acquisition documents, including Acquisition Plans (AP), Acquisition Strategy Reports (ASR), Justification and Approvals (J&A), Procurement Initiation Documents (PID), Statements of Work (SOW), and Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs). Ensure documentation is compliant with DoD regulations and aligns with program objectives.
Utilize the Procurement Management Tool (PMT) to support the management of PIDs throughout their lifecycle, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with contract requirements.
Provide analytical support to PMA 265 Avionics IPT by assisting in the generation, modification, and validation of acquisition documents, collaborating with team members to meet timelines and program requirements.
Participate in program management reviews, technical meetings, and briefings, helping prepare materials, documenting discussions, and tracking action items for timely follow-up.
Help develop and maintain acquisition documentation requirements, including strategies, plans, cost estimates, schedules, and specifications, ensuring quality and compliance with regulatory guidelines.
Collect, analyze, and report on technical and financial data related to aircraft systems acquisition, providing insights to support decision-making and improve program performance.
Support the monitoring of the product lifecycle from inception to delivery, ensuring alignment with project goals, and communicate with contractors to manage CDRL submissions. Collaborate with Budget Financial Managers and the IPT Lead to assist in developing Spend Plans, analyze funding execution, and support responses to budgetary issues. Ensure compliance with DoD regulations throughout the acquisition process, assisting in identifying and mitigating risks related to acquisition activities.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Experience: BA/BS degree and 2-4 years of experience. In lieu of formal education, additional experience may be accepted.
Clearance: Must be a US Citizen.Must possess an active secret clearance
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Formal DoD acquisition training (ACQ 101, ACQ 201)
NAVAIR IPT support experience
NAVAIR Database Experience
Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 hours/week
Compensation: $83,000-$125,000.The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
Additional Compensation: KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of a sign-on bonus, relocation benefits, short-term incentives, long-term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
