Junior E3 Engineer
KBR is seeking a highly motivated self-starter, adaptable to a fast-paced exciting environment as a Junior Engineer, to support the Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) contract at NAS Patuxent River, MD. This work is with a high operational tempo team working on innovative technologies to maintain air and sea superiority in support of the E3 Aircraft Division.
Job Description:
In this position, you will serve as a Junior Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) Engineer providing support to the Mission Systems Team at the F-35 Joint Program Office (JPO). This position will provide technical and management support for new development relating to E3 requirements, qualification, verification, certification testing, and spectrum management for the F-35 Air System. Critical to this role is the ability to facilitate teamwork between the IPTs, Directors, NAVAIR and JPO functional competencies, fleet customers, Partner Countries, Foreign Military Sales Customers, and contractor organizations to ensure integration of all new hardware and software systems will meet customer expectations.
Required Experience:
- 0-5 years of engineering experience.
- Experience working in a team environment.
Required Education: Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an institution with an ABET accredited engineering program. BS in Electrical Engineering is preferred.
Security Clearance Requirement: Secret OR able to obtain and maintain Secret security clearance. U.S. Citizenship.
Scheduled Weekly Hours:40 hours/week
Compensation:$75,000 - 85,000.The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities, contract affordability and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
Additional Compensation:KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of a sign-on bonus, relocation benefits, short-term incentives, long-term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
