This is a contingent position based upon contract award
KBR is seeking a highly motivated and career-oriented Research and Development Contract Specialist to join our team supporting a government client in Maryland. In this role you will be part of the acquisition management team.
Responsibilities at this level include but are not limited to:
- Assist in preparing documentation related to acquisition and procurement packages.
- Draft documentation such as Acquisition Strategy, Acquisition Plan, Security Reviews, Sole Source Justification, Statement of Work, Proposal Evaluation Criteria, Proposal Evaluation Plan, Proposal Preparation Instructions, Source Selection, Process.
- Provide timely updates to stakeholders.
- Maintain tracking of all efforts and update document repository
- Support the establishment of new processes, documents, and file maintenance for IARPA contract's function.
Qualifications:
Required:
- A CURRENT and ACTIVE TOP SECRET / SCI federal security clearance with Polygraph
- Five (5) or more years of relevant experience with Federal Government contracting
- Two (2) years of IC experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Contracts, or related field
- DAWIA Level I, Federal Acquisition Certification Level 1 or related professional certification
- Demonstrated knowledge of contracting procedures, types, and methods, including formal advertising, negotiation, fixed-price, grants, and cost contracting
- Experience developing guidance documents for acquisitions and proposals
- Knowledgeable in the application of related laws, regulations, policies, precedents, methods. Complexities, and techniques of federal contracting, to include the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), and the IARPA Government agency acquisition process
Desired:
- Seven (7) years of experience with Federal government contracting
- Experience drafting IC acquisition strategies or plans
- Experience writing Sole Source Justifications or Statements of Work
- Experience with IC source selection process
Basic Compensation:
$82,900 - $124,400
This range is for the Maryland area only
The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
Additional Compensation:
KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
