The Flexographic Print Operator, II will be mounting plates, mounting hotmelt sleeve, splicing rolls, and maintaining inks and raw materials as part of your daily responsibilities. Build and develop your machine operator skillset as you learn all aspects of the printing press operations at Zebra’s state of the art Morris Plains, NJ facility. *This is a 2nd shift position: 2:00pm - 10:30pm with overtime availability - $1/hour shift differential*
Responsibilities:
- Set up and monitor correct color inks in correct station
- Change plates out to current job
- Change hotmelt sleeve, install current job 1st
- Ensure enough RM (raw materials) for run are available & have staged what is needed of what can be
- Ensure computer & paperwork are ready for run
- Ensure drying lamps operating
- Splice vigilance, watch for tears, trim drops, splice ejection & eventually adjust registration
- Monitor adhesive levels
- Watch machine, look for ink adhesive build up, study web path
- Continue to clean/wipe down machine & work area, ensure tools are safely/properly stored
- Assisting operator/back operator: in charge of changing the inks, changing plates, hotmelt sleeve and the RM’s, do the final measurement to close the job such as adhesive and silicone, print out the excel sheets and give it to the main operator to close the job
- Enter silicone and adhesive final measurements
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent/ or previous relevant work experience
Preferred Requirements:
- 1+ year of related experience operating finishing and or label converting equipment (die cutting, laminating, slitting, etc)
Key Skills and Competencies:
- Excellent mechanical abilities
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Able to work effectively with others
- Basic math and computer skills
- Ability to work with light to medium machinery

Salary: USD 21.00 - USD 31.50 Hourly
Salary offered will vary depending on your location, job-related skills, knowledge, and experience.
Additionally, all Zebra roles are eligible for cash incentive programs. For example, sales roles have additional opportunity to earn substantial variable compensation tied to quota achievement. In most other roles, the Zebra annual cash incentive program links Company and individual performance together. Some roles may also be eligible for long-term incentive equity awards.
