What does this role look like?
Lockheed Martin Space in Kings Bay, GA is seeking an Electronics Engineer.
In this role will offer you the following daily responsibilities:
Join our Avionics Engineering group at the Missile Integrated Support Facility (MISF) at SWFLANT. MISF is the primary assembly and test location for many of the flight electronics packages used on the Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) program.
In this role, you will assist more senior engineers in the troubleshooting and failure analysis of flight hardware, perform circuit analysis to determine root cause at the component level, write discrepancy reports and perform regression testing to verify/validate incorporated fixes. Engineer will also present discrepancy reports to a "Review Board" to ensure satisfactory resolution.
The position may require periodic or unscheduled overtime and/or nonstandard workweek depending on program schedule requirements and equipment availability.
Please note that this position does NOT support teleworking; the preferred candidate will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility in Kings Bay, GA, and will be expected to work in the office.Basic Qualifications:To be effective, you will need to possess these basic qualifications: • 1+ years of professional experience in Electrical/Electronics Engineering role,
• Bachelor's Degree in an Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related degree from an accredited college/university,
• Previous professional experience interpreting and creating electrical schematics,
• Prior experience with digital/analog electronics (such as design, circuit analysis, etc.).
• You will need to be a US Citizen (no dual citizens), and
be able to obtain and maintain a US DoD SECRET clearance, to support this government contract, as well as successfully pass a drug and background check, in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

No clearance is required to apply but an Interim clearance is needed prior to start.Desired Skills:To be effective, ideally, you should also have:• Experience in a manufacturing area, including investigating and addressing manufacturing defects.
• Experience troubleshooting hardware and software failures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment, including working with hourly employees.
• Experience and understanding of software languages such as MATLAB, C and C++.
• Self-motivated.
• Familiar with National Instruments, or other data-capture hardware.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Demonstrated problem solving skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated exceptional strategic communication skills, written, verbal, and presentation, to effectively communicate technical analysis to all levels of peers, customers, and stakeholders.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
