Reimagine What’s Possible
Maintenance Supervisor Roles and Responsibilities:
The Maintenance Supervisor role is a key member of the management team for the Martinez area HYCO facilities. This position will have maintenance responsibility for the 4 SMRs (Steam Methane Reformers) in the region. The successful candidate will build strong relationships with the plant and regional support teams as well as contractors. The position reports to the California HYCO Regional Maintenance Manager.
Required Skills / Abilities:
Maintain a safe and environmentally compliant work environment.
Lead a team of 7 maintenance technicians - 3 mechanical techs and 4 instrument techs.
Coaching and development of technicians
Work with the maintenance and operations teams to prioritize, develop, schedule and complete all daily, weekly, and long-term maintenance activities in the region.
Develop estimates, schedule, and ongoing cost forecasts for all maintenance activities within the region.
Provide insight on annual budget and schedule.
Maintain assigned maintenance tasks and projects on budget and on schedule.
Drive the maintenance team towards compliance with maintenance performance metrics such as PM compliance, monthly backlog, monthly spending vs budget and safety program participation. Ensure 100% compliance with regulatory and very high priority maintenance activities.
Availability to take calls after hours and weekends to assist with coordinating maintenance technician emergency call outs as well as support in plant activities as needed.
Responsible for inventory management activities for HyCO spare parts inventory stored both on and off site. Work with materials management and warehousing to update spares information as needed.
Support the HyCO Turnaround Team in scope development and technical resources for all HSS lead turnarounds in the region.
Assist in development of bid packages and contractor selections for outages.
This role is a Safety Sensitive Position.
Education and Licensing Requirements:
Candidate must possess a strong safety focus and background.
5+ years in a petrochemical or manufacturing environment with maintenance and/or operations experience is desired.
Degree in a technical trade school for instrumentation, mechanical, electrical or military technical training is a plus. Relative experience will be given strong consideration in lieu of formal education.
High school diploma or equivalent
Strong leadership abilities, interpersonal skills, communication stills and business acumen.
Strong organizational planning skills with the ability to set priorities.
Manufacturing plant operations, maintenance, and capital projects experience.
High ethical standards - unwilling to compromise on worker safety and regulatory compliance requirements.
Basic understanding of operating plant environment.
Strong SAP skills are desired, ability to learn is crucial.

In California, the expected pay range is $123,750 - $158,950 plus bonus. This is the pay range that we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
