The primary purpose of the Sr Manager, Data Science is to manage a team of data science professionals in the development of data science initiatives. This position works to ensure the alignment, buy-in, and support of diverse stakeholders in driving data science offerings. Finally, the Sr Manager, Data Science manages the full lifecycle of data science projects from inception to completion with full adherence to enterprise product and project management practices.

What you will do
- Establish Product Vision: Drive the development of product vision and strategy by using data and insights to find opportunities for innovation and growth.
- Customer Experience: Apply advanced analytics techniques to understand customer behavior, preferences, and needs, and drive initiatives to improve the overall customer experience.
- Product Execution: Lead the end-to-end execution of data science projects, including data exploration, model development, validation, and deployment, ensuring high-quality deliverables within timelines.
- Advocacy Influence: Collaborate with business stakeholders to advocate for data-driven decision-making, influencing the adoption of data-driven strategies and insights across the organization.
- Product Analysis/Insights: Analyze large-scale datasets, develop statistical models, and generate actionable insights that drive operational efficiency, revenue growth, and customer satisfaction.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Engineering, Computer Science, Data or Information Science, or related quantitative analytic field
- 1-4 years of experience in analytics and programming (Python, Java, Scala, SQL etc.)
- Knowledge of SQL and advanced statistical modeling and machine learning techniques
- Industry experience as a Data Scientist and experience in Python, machine learning, data mining, experimentation, search relevancy ranking, recommender systems or information retrieval, and deep learning frameworks (ex: tensorflow/pytorch/Keras, scikit-learn/scipi, numpy, pandas, Golve, word2vec, fasttext, bert etc.)
- Strong communication, collaboration, and presentation skills
- Effective analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills for building systems to process both structured and unstructured data
- Retail business understanding
Preferred Skills/Experience
- Ph.D. degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, Data or Information Science, or related quantitative analytic field
- Strongly preferred experience in retail e-commerce or related domains.
- Experience with edge computing or IOT frameworks
- Google Cloud certifications
- At least 3 years of experience in data science or performing predictive analytics at a large-scale enterprise
- SQL Proficiency
- Experience using multiple data systems and sources (such as Hadoop, Spark, Aster, Teradata, etc.)
- Experience in managing AI models in Google/AWS platform and working with Kubernetes environment, Kubeflow/pipeline.ai or similar tools.

Pay Range: $122,600.00 - $232,900.00 annually Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.
