Overview
The Tugger Operator is in charge of towing and emptying trash and cardboard carts as they fill through the shift.

Basic Qualifications: • Must be 18 years of age or older
• No experience required and on the job training provided
• No high school diploma, GED or college degree required
Preferred Qualifications: • One (1) year of similar work experience preferred
Responsibilities: • Operate industrial lift and/or tugger to assist in loading or moving materials for yardage
• Bale cardboard, run a trash compactor, and operate a tow tractor in order to keep production running smoothly
• Use computer, reads work order, or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved
• Load materials and/or buggies into trailers and/or trucks
• Install strapping or chains to prevent shifting or damage while in transit
• Print necessary labels and manifests
• Transports buggies from work sites to designated area
• Load and unloads full or empty buggies
• Use the computer to keep a current list of available buggies
• Perform janitorial duties such as emptying trash cans, cleaning restrooms, and scrubbing floors
Forklift Operator Job Description
Always operate forklift in a safe responsible manner. Follow all safety protocols in place. Answer job requests via company phone.
Fill out daily inspection forms. Reporting issues to supervisor. Responsible for moving wood waste. Pick up wood waste at designated areas, loading pallet trailer, notify supervisor when trailer is full. Pick up full containers with waste products, label and move to designated storage area. This is drums, buckets, totes, etc.
Retrieving supplies and moving to designated storage area. Clean and organize supply and hazardous waste storage area. Process monthly inventory report for supplies kept in storage area.
Work towards becoming a certified forklift trainer. Load bale truck.
Unloading supply truck from another location. Assist client with loading of hazardous materials truck.
Assist client environmental department by completing given tasks.
Assist in cleanup of any hazardous materials spills. Time management. Must be able to prioritize. Must be organized.
Must be willing to take ownership. Back up for waste operators. All other duties as assigned.
A good job for someone just entering the workforce or returning to the workforce with limited experience and education.
