In the role of Assistant Resident Engineer, we'll count on you to:
- Be a field point of contact for the client and project stakeholders.
- Reporting directly to the assigned HDR Resident Engineer, the Assistant supports the RE in managing and supervising an assigned field office and construction field inspection staff and conducting ongoing reviews and verifications of construction activities, schedules and inspections.
- Be responsible to assist in the preparation and negotiations of construction change orders and for preparation of weekly / monthly project reports.
- Participate in Project Progress meetings.
- Perform routine assignments requiring application of spreadsheets, databases, and scheduling software
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Technology, or combination of education and relevant experience
- A minimum of 5 years progressive construction experience on multidisciplinary projects
- Must have a fundamental understanding of contracts and familiarity with codes and laws governing construction
- Must possess the ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications and identify discrepancies or conflicts within documents
- Must be able to work in a team environment
- Must be computer literate, experience with Microsoft Office, Primavera, or related construction packages
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skillsAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

The expected compensation range for this position is $92,000 - $132,000 and depends upon skills, experience, education and geographical location. (Stated benefits are for full-time regular positions.
