Description
Leidos is seeking a talented Quality Inspector Specialist to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. Primary Responsibilities
This person should be able to conduct inspections in a manufacturing environment. Along with the preforming inspection duties he or she will write non-conformances as needed. This person must be able to interact with the Quality Engineers, Operation Managers, and Team Leads to give possible direction of clearing open work instruction or any issue that may arise. This person should be able to construct and evaluate Data Acceptance / First Article Packages.
Typical Duties can include any of the following:
Inspect component and assembled parts. Must be able to read and understand assembly instructions. Read and understand Drawings and Technical data packages. Preform Internal AS9100 audits. Write Non-conformance and start investigation to root cause. Lead or participate in 5S activities.
Basic Qualifications
Candidate must possess a High School diploma/GED with at least 3 or more years of relevant Quality Inspection experience.
Must have experience in leading operations or teams in completing tasks.
Must be able to solve complex problems, relate with other teams members, and communicate with other levels of management.
Must have a knowledge and understanding when reading and interpreting drawings.
Must have knowledge of how to efficiently use micrometers, height gages, gage blocks, radius gages, and calipers etc.
Experience in an ISO9001/AS9100 manufacturing environment.
Experience in IPC and J standard specifications is preferred.
Candidate must be able to populate handwritten or computer-generated inspection reports.
Candidate must have Computer Skills and can use computer software such as Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, etc.
Applicant must be able to work a full-time with minimal supervision and adjust priorities based on workflow.
Must be willing to travel to customer site to perform quality inspections.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 35 lbs.
Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.
Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Secret Clearance.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $48,100.00 - $86,950.00
