The LinkedIn editorial and community management team’s mission is to build the voice of the global workforce through news, ideas, and community. The team supports the world’s top professional voices to share their insights — and help steer the content that flows through the platform. The team creates, curates, cultivates, and circulates insightful content and voices.
LinkedIn is seeking an Editor to engage and grow our creator base, curate impactful news content, and help creators develop their voice and audience. This role is ideal for someone with a data-driven mindset, strong persuasive skills, and a deep understanding of both the video creator landscape and news curation.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategies to engage video creators in key cities, aligning with LinkedIn India’s focus areas. Vet, onboard, and nurture creators to grow their presence and impact on the platform.
- Serve as an evangelist for our creator ecosystem and LinkedIn’s content offerings.
- Support senior industry leaders and companies in these cities to further their presence on LinkedIn.
- Own the end-to-end process of news creation, cultivation, curation, and circulation, ensuring it reaches relevant LinkedIn members in targeted cities, and amplify best-in-class content across various channels in these cities.
- Oversee news coverage and write concise and insightful news roundups for LinkedIn's products, including short-form, long-form, and video content.
- Curate best conversations on the platform to provide value to relevant members in the cities.
- Must be able to function under tight deadlines and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced work environment
- Spot and predict trends important to business content readers and general LinkedIn members.
- Analyse success using data-driven metrics and adjust strategies accordingly.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in community management, social media marketing, journalism, writing/editing.
- Direct experience working with creators, particularly in the video content space.
- Proficiency in written and verbal communication skills in English (additional Indian languages are a plus).
- High affinity for data analysis and the ability to translate insights into action.
- Experience with AI tools for content creation or curation.
- Experience in organizational and time management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Proven ability to convince and influence stakeholders.
- Excellent understanding of the creator economy and news industry.
- Ability to shape products and stories for diverse audiences.
- Experience in online media, news curation, or content creation with a focus on video content.
- Ability to edit videos and experience in using Descript, Premiere Pro, Adobe Photoshop and After Effects
