Description:This position supports Tax Consolidation and Forecast team within Enterprise Operations Corporate Tax Organization.
As a Lead Senior Tax Accountant, you will play an essential role in our organization, contributing to various financial tasks and projects. Your responsibilities will include:
• Performing tasks under limited supervision related to income tax compliance such as returns, extensions, and forecasts for the company
• Assisting in accounting for income taxes pursuant to ASC740
• Preparing tax entries, computing tax provision for income taxes, and reconciling federal tax accounts during quarterly financial closes
• Reconciling deferred tax balances during quarterly financial closes
• Gathering data to comply with information requests from outside tax auditors during the quarterly financial close
• Overseeing the tax forecasting process, including the preparation of quarterly Federal estimated tax payments
• Conducting special tax projects, such as financial impact analyzes, tax provisions, and liability forecasts and projects in related areas
• Gathering data to comply with IRS and state and local audit requests
• Interfacing with other departments within F&BO (FP&A, Financial Reporting Group, Corporate Accounting, and Treasury) regarding matters related to tax compliance and provision.
• Reviewing new and existing tax laws, court case, regulations, and rulings to minimize the Corporate tax burden.
• Reviewing monthly federal tax account reconciliation and tax schedules
• Seeking opportunities for efficiency and improvements in process, driving meaningful change.

Global Diversity and Inclusion.Basic Qualifications:• Minimum 6 years of public accounting firm or large company tax department experience
• Technical skills in book and tax accounting
• Knowledge of and experience with tax laws and policy
• Experience with rules governing accounting for income taxes and SARBOX
• Effective verbal, and written communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to create presentations and present message effectively
• Effective analytical and problem-solving skills
• Continuous learning attitude and willingness to teach others
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Desired Skills:• CPA and/or Master Degree in Tax, Accounting, or related discipline
• 4+ years of public accounting firm experience strongly preferred (Big Four or large public accounting firm)
• Experience in M&A (due diligence & modeling and Joint Venture activity)
• Proficiency with Thompson Reuters OneSource, Oracle and CorpTax
• Proficiency of MS Office Suite (pivot tables, charts, formulas, multi-sheet workbooks)
• Familiarity with Alteryx, AI, dashboards and/or digital transformations

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Maryland, Washington or Washington DC is $86,700 - $166,300. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
