Overview
The Appliance Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of commercial appliances. This role requires technical expertise in appliance mechanics, electrical systems, and customer service skills to ensure appliances are serviced efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
Diagnosis & Repair: Troubleshoot and diagnose problems in commercial appliances, using tools and technical manuals to identify issues.
Installation: Install new appliances, ensuring they are set up correctly and meet all safety and operational standards.
Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on appliances to prevent future issues and extend the lifespan of the equipment.
Parts Replacement: Order and replace defective parts ensuring the appliance functions properly.
Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, explaining the nature of repairs to customers and advising on proper appliance care and maintenance.
Documentation: Maintain detailed records of all work orders, repairs, parts used, and time spent on each job
Safety Compliance: Follow all safety procedures and guidelines during the repair and installation process
Continuous Learning: Stay up to date on new appliance technologies and repair techniques through training and industry resources.
Skills & Qualifications:
Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of appliance mechanics, electrical systems, and diagnostics for a wide range of commercial appliances.
Problem-Solving: Ability to diagnose complex appliance issues and implement effective repair solutions.
Customer Service: Excellent communication skills to interact with customers, explain repairs, and provide appliance care advice.
Attention to Detail: Precise in performing repairs, documenting work, and following safety protocols.
Physical Ability: Capable of lifting and moving heavy appliances, using tools, and working in various positions, such as kneeling or standing for extended periods.
Experience:
1-3 years of experience in appliance repair or a related field.
Certification in appliance repair or completion of a relevant technical training program is preferred.
Familiarity with various brands and models of household and commercial appliances.
Work Environment:
Involves exposure to varying indoor conditions, including kitchens, cafes, and utility areas.
May require travel to different locations, often within a designated service area.
Some jobs may require weekend or evening availability for emergency repairs.
