Overview
The Project Manager position is responsible for helping ensure the successful implementation and completion of the project. This position assists the Project Management staff with client interaction, management and control of project resources (internal and external), project documentation, manpower supervision, manpower scheduling, safety, quality control and quality assurance. Assists in the implementation of quality services throughout the project cycle.
Essential Functions
· Manage and oversee all field installation technicians and field supervisors.
· Responsible for assigning and scheduling manpower for large HVAC projects.
· Communicate effectively with other Project Managers, subcontractors, vendors, and any other key stakeholders on the project.
· Responsible to review progress, productivity and schedules on projects.
· Conduct Site Surveys as required.
· Enforce and assist with implementation of all industry and company safety policies and procedures with staff.
· Assist Project Management staff with due diligence surveys to ensure equipment needed for project is ordered efficiently and accurately as required.
· Participate in onsite kickoff meetings with employees and subcontractors, if applicable.
· Oversee that all job documentation is completed by technicians and subcontractors in a timely manner; time reporting, work orders, daily reports, etc.
· Delegation of work to Installation Technicians and Apprentices as necessary.
· Read and understand project drawings and specifications.
· Review and assist with project estimates and reviews, as required.
· At all times communicate effectively with Field Supervisors, Project Managers, Customers and Subcontractors.
· Attend Operations meetings weekly.
· Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill.
· Performs additional duties per Director of Construction’s direction.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
· A minimum of 5+ years’ experience in related industry trade (HVAC/Mechanical/Electrical and/or Commercial General Construction)
· Familiar with MS Project, Excel, and MS Office
· Effective time management skills
· Strong Organizational skills
· Exceptional communication skills
· Proficient computer skills
· Clean Driving Record
· Background check will be required
· Experience in Engineering, HVAC Estimating, Draftsman, Project management or designing with any of the following:
· HVAC Systems – Mission critical facilities, federal buildings, schools, warehouses, R&D laboratories, corporate headquarters, LEED facilities, consumer product packaging, industrial ventilation, etc.
· Utility Systems – central chilled water, steam & boiler systems, gas distribution, central chilled water, nitrogen generation, fire protection, and purified water
