The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) organization is seeking a Senior Industrial Security Specialist - PERSEC (Personnel Security) to join our team in El Segundo, CA.
This position will act as a Team Lead supporting a complex proprietary program managing employees who provide PERSEC support to ensure consistency across the entire portfolio.
Position Responsibilities:
- Manage and ensure the flawless execution of classified security programs at the SCI, SAP and other restricted or proprietary levels and achieves all operational goals.
- Lead and mentor employees performing security administration activities to protect information from unauthorized disclosure, conducting security inquiries, overseeing compliance assessments implementation security controls protecting personnel, information and equipment.
- Studies and implements federal security regulations that apply to company program operations.
- Obtains rulings, interpretations, and acceptable deviations for compliance with regulations from government agencies.
- Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
- Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.
This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):
- 10 or more years of work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience ( Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years in an Industrial Security role; or a Master’s degree and 2+ years in an Industrial Security Role )
- 5 or more years of industrial security experience in a variety of security support capacities such as, personnel security administration, physical security, communications security and other programmatic security-related field
- Ability to obtain access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and/or Special Access Programs (SAP) information, or other restricted-level access
- Successfully completed a Tier 5 Investigation (T5), formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) by the federal government within the last 5 years or have been enrolled in a Continuous Evaluation program such that periodic updates are no longer required
- 3+ years of demonstrated experience leading teams in a formal and/or informal role
- Ability to successfully obtain a Government Sponsored Polygraph
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Masters degree + 5 years of relevant security-related work experience or Bachelors and 6+ years of experience working in one or a combination of the following domains: NISP, SAP, and/or SCI
- 3+ years of Project Management experience
- 3+ years of demonstrable experience building relationships and partnering with all levels of employees, including executives in the Defense or Aerospace environment
- Active Government Sponsored Polygraph
- Security certifications (CPP, CPSO, FSO, PSO, etc.)
- 3+ years of experience communicating with internal and external customers
Education:
Education/experience typically 9 or more years' related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.
Relocation:
Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
Travel:
Position may require travel up to 10% of the time.

Summary pay range: USD $131,750- $178,250
