Program Summary
As part of the LOGCAP NORTHCOM scope, KBR provides rapid response support to scheduled and unscheduled U.S. Army training exercises. KBR’s LOGCAP team successfully completed another year of support to Warfighter operations by providing typical LOGCAP services at two locations.
Job Summary
As a SOC Operations Manager, you will serve as an Operations Manager for the Sustainment Operations Center (SOC), an augmented position in direct support to the 916th Support Brigade. In this role you will be involved in supporting the Rotational Training Unit during all aspects of the training rotation.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Perform analysis of operational performance, track safety and performance indicators, and maintain currency on all operational issues affecting the Rotational Training Unit.
- Advise the Brigade Commander and S-4, ensuring the Brigade and RTU Staff have timely, accurate, and relevant information pertaining to the rotation.
- Work directly with the S-4 and USG SOC Operations Manager, overseeing and coordinating all operations functions for the rotation.
- Coordinate current and future operational requirements.
- Work under the direct supervision of the S-4 and USG SOC Manager or designee.
- Be cognizant of all aspects of contingency logistics operations.
- Lead small teams (20-30 personnel) in a fast-paced military environment.
- Organize and direct the activities of standing and ad hoc teams and working groups.
- Use your knowledge of logistics problems, applications, and distribution systems to effect change.
- Multi-task effectively, prioritize and execute against multiple objectives.
- Interface effectively with all levels of management and functional disciplines.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications (Required Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)
- Must be able to pass a U.S. Government background investigation and obtain a Secret Security clearance and maintain it for the duration of your employment on this contract. Due to this, you must be a U.S. Citizen to be eligible for this position.
- Requires prior experience managing personnel; a skill usually practiced by a Senior Noncommissioned Officer.
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and at least 5 years’ experience in logistics or supply chain management; 12 years of relevant experience preferred.
- Must have knowledge of logistics problems, applications, and distribution systems.
- Requires the ability to multi-task effectively, prioritize and execute against multiple priorities.
- Must be able to interface effectively with all levels of management and functional disciplines.
- Requires strong working knowledge of applicable logistics automated systems for the assigned function.
- Strong background using Army Mission Command Systems is required.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills are required.
- Must be fluent in English.
- Must have excellent data entry skills.
- Must be organized, dedicated and reliable.
- Requires strong analytical skills.
- Must be understand and be proficient in the use of the Technical Data Packages (TDP) and Performance Work Statements (PWS).
- Requires extensive working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Visio, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, and Access).
Preferred Qualifications (Preferred Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)
- Active Secret Clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree in logistics, business management, or associated discipline and/or related experience.
- Battle Staff Course completion or equivalent.
- Military and/or Contingency Operations experience.
- Logistics analysis experience.
Pay
- Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40
- Basic Compensation: $115,800 - $173,700
The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
