About this role:Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Associate in Portfolio Strategy and Analytics to join the Investment Portfolio Strategic Initiatives team. This role will utilize advanced technical and programming skills to enhance analytics processes across the team and will also partner in execution of strategy and forecast processes. The Investment Portfolio group manages Wells Fargo's portfolio of available-for-sale and held-to-maturity securities.
The Strategic Initiatives team drives core analytics for the Investment Portfolio, including CCAR, OCI risk, liquidity risk management, interest rate risk management, CECL, and BOLI. The team also leads strategic actions affecting the securities portfolio, and partners with portfolio management teams within the Investment Portfolio and other groups across the company.
In this role, you will:- Utilize advanced technical and programming skills to enhance a variety of analytics processes in the Investment Portfolio
- Lead or participate in complex portfolio reporting and analytics to inform investment strategy
- Monitor portfolio risks including credit, interest rate, market, liquidity and capital
- Lead targeted projects
- Collaborate and consult across the Investment Portfolio with colleagues and management to generate ad hoc analyses supporting portfolio strategy decisions
- Engage with key stakeholder groups, internal audit, risk management, and model governance teams on governance and control deliverables
Required Qualifications:- 4+ years of Institutional Investment Portfolio Analysis, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:- A BS/BA degree or higher in mathematical finance, computer science, engineering, or other related fields
- 2+year's experience in Python programming
- Familiarity with SQL, VBA, and Power BI
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Impeccable reputation for integrity
- Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Aptitude to manage high-pressure projects and remain well-organized under tight timelines
- Advanced Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook) skills
- Ability to research complex issues, distill information into concise presentations and offer actionable resolutions
- Familiarity with third party fixed income platforms (e.g., PolyPaths, QRM)
