About this role:This individual will be responsible for working with the National Retail Risk Team, Market Managers and Market Sales Management teams in the execution around risk, compliance, legal and regulatory adherence. Responsibilities include day-to-day consulting with Market and Branch Managers to ensure compliance with corporate policies and control standards. Provides dedicated support and oversight to one market in Distributed Retail Lending. Interacts with Market Manager frequently to discuss performance within the market regarding deficiencies, recognition opportunities, and consistent messaging during observations from branch visits. Develop strategies and implement tactical activities to minimize or mitigate risk. This role will need to understand at any time what is happening with risk and audit, engage in critical thinking when an issue is elevated and work with key partners and stakeholders to influence strategy on important changes, initiatives, and priorities. In this role, you will:- Participate in a variety of assigned and ongoing business operations to ensure success in meeting business goals and objectives
- Identify opportunities for process improvement by conducting root cause testing of all compliance and business metrics
- Determine areas of strength or Business Execution opportunity within defined scope of work
- Review and research strategies and action plans to establish effective processes while meeting performance metrics and policy expectations.
- Utilize independent judgment to guide moderate risk deliverables
- Present recommendations to develop, implement, and monitor strategic approaches, effectiveness of support function, and business performance improvement opportunities for managing risks of the business
- Exercise independent judgment and provide guidance in diverse support functions and operations for a single business group within a line of business
- Collaborate and consult with leaders and executive management
- Provide work direction to less experienced Strategy and Execution staff
- Supports Retail in the achievement of risk and compliance goals through review, oversight, and coaching in regard to policies directly impacting risk performance
- Oversight and monitoring of risk and compliance related performance metrics to identify emerging risk requiring further research and diagnostics
- Provides high level leadership support, oversight and reinforcement around key retail risk initiatives
- Conducts root cause analysis on compliance metrics to determine areas of strength or opportunity and develop an action plan
- Inspects for adherence to national standards and provides feedback to Management Team when there are deviations from standards
- Identify strategic opportunities to enhance processes to further reduce risk
- Communicate risk and compliance strategies, routines, and deliverables.
- Owns Market communication on risk and compliance topics.
- Collaborate with Sales Leaders and teams to drive execution or risk and compliance strategies
Required Qualifications:- 2+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
Desired Qualifications:- 2+ years of Leadership/Sales Home Lending or Strategic Planning experience
- 2+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: sales, operations or production risk
- Expert knowledge and understanding of home lending regulations, risks, compliance, and controls
- Experience with Wells Fargo's CORE origination system
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, PPT, OneNote and SharePoint
- Experience with reporting tools; including Microstrategy and Tableau
- Ability to build strong working relationships across a matrixed organization
- Ability to effectively partner and influence at the executive level
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong analytical skills with an ability to identify operational process inefficiencies
- Ability to influence, partner, and negotiate with senior business leaders to gain commitment to accomplish business goals
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important
Job Expectations:- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
