Job Description:
Leidos is seeking a dynamic, mission-centric hands-on M365 Administrator to support one of the most dynamic, cloud only, health federal agency’s large, mission-critical Enterprise. The successful candidate will manage the overall M365 environment, including user and license management, service health monitoring, data retention and recovery policies, and basic troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities:
Comprehensive Management of M365 Environment:
- Serve as the global M365 Admin with overarching awareness of all M365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Microsoft Teams.
- Coordinate and collaborate with specialized administrators (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, Security, and Compliance) to ensure cohesive management and operation of the M365 environment.
Governance and Compliance Oversight:
- Develop and enforce governance policies for M365 usage, focusing on security, compliance, and data protection standards in alignment with federal regulations.
- Implement and manage Microsoft Purview for data governance, including document classification, sensitivity labeling, and data loss prevention (DLP) to safeguard organizational data.
Security and Monitoring:
- Ensure compliance with federal email-related security and retention policies, including Capstone emails and email labeling.
- Implement and manage security measures using Microsoft Defender and Sentinel to provide comprehensive security monitoring, incident response, and automated response actions.
Performance Monitoring and Optimization:
- Monitor the health and performance of M365 services, proactively identifying and resolving issues to maintain optimal service delivery.
- Stay informed about M365 updates and industry trends to continuously improve service delivery and organizational productivity.
Stakeholder Collaboration and Continuous Improvement:
- Collaborate with various departments to gather requirements, present technical solutions, and ensure M365 solutions meet business needs.
- Conduct regular reviews and updates of M365 services to ensure alignment with organizational requirements and strategic goals.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior staff, fostering their professional development and growth within the organization.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field with 8-10 years of relevant experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in M365 administration.
- Strong understanding of M365 security and compliance capabilities.
- Possess one or more Microsoft 365 certifications. E.g., Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert, Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals, Identity and Access Administrator Associate.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Working experience with a federal agency is highly desired.
Desired Skills:
- Expertise in managing M365 B2B collaboration and establishing trust relationships among multiple federal agencies.
- Proficiency in managing guest user access and external sharing settings in M365, ensuring secure and compliant collaboration with external partners.
- Experience with Entra ID B2B settings and configuring Conditional Access policies for secure access management across organizations.
- Strong understanding of data governance and lifecycle management in a multi-tenant environment.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
- Proficiency with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and Zendesk.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $101,400.00 - $183,300.00
