Overview
The Floor Technician is responsible for maintaining and cleaning the floors in commercial. You will use various tools, scrubbers, and cleaning chemicals to ensure floors are clean, safe, and well-maintained. Their duties often include a combination of floor cleaning, polishing, waxing, and maintenance tasks.
Pay is 18 to 20 per hour.

Basic Qualifications: Experience: Previous experience in janitorial or custodial work, especially with floor care equipment.
- Ability to stand, bend, and lift heavy equipment or materials.
- Ensuring floors are properly cleaned and maintained.
- Knowledge of safe handling of cleaning products and equipment.
- Familiarity with floor-cleaning equipment like buffers, polishers, and vacuums.
- Ability to complete tasks efficiently and on schedule
- Valid Drivers' License and Own RELIABLE Transportation
Preferred Qualifications: • Customer service experience
• 2 years of similar work experience
Responsibilities: - Sweep, mop, scrub, and buff floors to maintain cleanliness.
- Follows procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures
- Clean and maintain buildings/facilities
- Vacuum carpets and rugs.
- Clean and disinfect hard surface floors (tile, wood, linoleum, etc.).
- Remove stains and dirt from carpets and other flooring materials.
- Apply floor finishes like wax, polish, or sealants.
- Strip old wax or polish and reapply new layers.
- Buff floors using specialized machines to maintain shine and cleanliness.
- Operate floor-cleaning machines (e.g., buffers, scrubbers, waxers, and vacuums).
- Maintain and clean floor care equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Inspect floors regularly for damage (e.g., cracks, chips) and report necessary repairs.
- Ensure proper safety precautions are followed when using cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Place safety signs to warn others of wet or slippery floors.
- Document cleaning and maintenance activities.
- Report any major issues or repairs to supervisors.
- Perform deep cleaning for special events or seasonal maintenance.
- May handle stripping and refinishing floors in areas with high traffic or wear.
- Establish and maintain effective communication and working relationships with clients, co-workers, shift coordinators, supervisors, managers, etc.
- Comply with all safety, security, compliance, and quality standards and procedures established by the Company, Clients, and regulatory authorities
