The Business Acceptance & Development department includes a team dedicated to Presentation and Client Retention Support for Schwab Retirement Plan Services’ (RPS) and Schwab Stock Plan Services’ (SPS) sales and relationship management teams.
The Specialist reports to the Director of the Presentation & Client Retention Support team and will assume responsibility for functions that may include:
- Monitoring the Salesforce Repricing Queue including assigning tasks, performing research, and requesting necessary documentation to support requests, as needed
- Monitoring the Business Development Support mailbox including replying to email inquiries, assigning tasks to the appropriate teams, and creating/maintaining rebid and retention opportunities in Salesforce based on activity in the mailbox
- Assisting with departmental and retention reporting on a monthly and ad hoc basis
- Support the annual proactive benchmarking and pricing review for current RPS and SPS clients which includes running monthly and ad hoc reporting and documenting results in Salesforce
- Introductory review of basic repricing functions including review of new nonqualified and defined benefit plans, mergers, and proactive pricing reviews
- Monitoring Client Health Risk Elevation on a daily basis, which includes assigning tasks for repricing reviews and/or presentation needs
- Participating in internal projects for the research, development, production, and maitenance of strategic solutions to meet prospect and client needs
- Assistance in maintaining and testing accuracy of Tableau dashboards leveraged across Business Development
- Interacting with business partners that influence our team processes including marketing, sales, consultant relationships, digital services, investment services, and relationship management
- Assist in maintaining team procedures
- Additional cross-functional responsibilities or projects determined on as needed basis by Business Development team managers

- Effectively communicate and coordinate with other teams within Business Development, RPS, and SPS to leverage available resources and knowledge
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain trusted relationships with business partners across the organization
- Work individually and collaboratively with the team and business partners to respond to inquiries, resolve problems and recommend possible alternative solutions
- Demonstrated ability to independently juggle multiple priorities on a daily basis, with effective time management skills
- Ability to manage personal workload and responsibilities with little guidance
- Utilize and maintain Salesforce and other internal databases in an efficient manner
- Display a keen attention to detail, ensuring that external materials are accurate and professional in nature
- Review outgoing materials and correspondences for consistency to ensure conformance with departmental policies or procedures
- Manage deadlines with internal business partners to ensure timely delivery of prospect and client materials
- Stay current with present RPS, SPS, and Schwab capabilities for multiple products and services
In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
