The Corporate Treasury team is looking for a talented and motivated Manager of Corporate Property Insurance. This role serves as the enterprise subject matter expert for Caterpillar's corporate property insurance functions, including managing corporate insurance policies, leadership of the annual insurance program renewal, managing insurance claim processes, and coaching/developing Finance Leadership Development Program personnel. The Manager of Corporate Property Insurance is a unique opportunity to be an integral member of a global corporate finance organization, one direct report, and act as key liaison for several third-party relationships.
What You Will Do:
- Provide leadership and vision to diverse and high performing corporate insurance team colleagues and direct report
- Establish and maintain appropriate corporate property insurance policies
- Lead strategy for property insurance operations and drive process optimization
- Complete annual property insurance program renewals
- Maintain strong relationships with internal & external business partners, including key brokers and insurance companies
- Typical internal customers include the Vice President & Corporate Treasurer, Assistant Treasurers, Regional Treasurers, Division Chief Financial Officers, Caterpillar Insurance, and global business unit leaders
What You Have:
- Extensive Industry knowledge: Knowledge of the organization’s industry group, trends, directions, major issues, regulatory considerations, and trendsetters; ability to apply industry knowledge appropriately to diverse situations
- Extensive experience in service excellence: Knowledge of customer service concepts and techniques; ability to meet or exceed customer needs and expectations and provide excellent service in a direct or indirect manner
- Expert experience in communicating complex concepts: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive and accurately interpret ideas, information and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors
- Expert experience in Negotiation: Knowledge of successful negotiation concepts and techniques ability to negotiation successfully across the organization and with external vendors and clients in a constructive and collaborative manner
- Extensive experience in problem solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations
- Extensive experience in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Strategy Design and Implementation: Knowledge of CRM; ability to design and run CRM applications to acquire, grow and retain profitable customer relationships
Top Candidates Will Also Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, insurance or business administration
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain strong working relationships with internal and external partners
- Demonstrated commitment to ensuring a strong compliance culture (organization, policies and procedures) highly desired
Additional Details:
- Location: Peoria, IL; Nashville, TN; Irving, TX
- Flexible work environment with hybrid approach which allows for a split of in-person office (3 days a week) and remote work.
- Domestic relocation is available for those who qualify
- Required Travel: This role requires up to 40% travel depending on insurance claim needs and leader/team locations
