Program Summary
KBR leads the government services world contingency market by providing responsive, full-service logistics support to forces deployed around the world under the Logistics Civil Augmentation Program contract (LOGCAP). KBR’s enduring mission support of the LOGCAP program dates back to 1992 when we served as the contract’s original prime contractor. Today, we have a workforce of over 6,000 people representing 40 nationalities who perform work on the contract in 10 countries.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Under general supervision, responds to, investigates, and resolves statutory compliance issues from governmental agencies that may include the Department of Labor (DOL), the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), and Company policy issues related to employee concerns and/or complaints from employees working on government contracted projects.
- Conducts training that educates employees and/or management about the Company's position to provide a positive work environment through the understanding and use of company policies, procedures, and adherence to core values.
- Demonstrates exceptional written and verbal communication, problem solving, analytical skills, conflict resolution skills and organizational skills with great attention to detail.
- Models professional behavior at all times and remains tactful, calm, and persuasive in controversial and/or confrontational situations.
- Fosters and promotes the use of all human resources services.
- Partners with internal and external legal counsel and stays abreast of any new employment laws that impacts the Company.
- Maintains confidentiality at all times.
- Investigates and documents allegations of discrimination, harassment and other violations of Company policy
- Drafts and catalogs disciplinary documents, maintains a case log of allegations and investigations and develops mitigation plans where needed
- Conducts trend analysis by reviewing employee data analytics such as, attrition metrics, employee survey results, and other applicable data sets to assess where additional training and support is needed
- Provides guidance, counsel to management regarding issues pertaining to unlawful actions, FMLA, EEOC, ADA and other applicable employment laws (including local country laws) as well as issues pertaining to Company policy and procedures
- Develops strong relationships with internal customers
Basic Qualifications (Required Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field
- 3-4 years Employee Relations specific experience involving managing all aspects of employment investigations.
- Ability to work some alternative work schedules to accommodate meetings and investigations for personnel in Europe
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Must have a valid passport and travel to all of the assigned countries within the project services area as needed.
Preferred Qualifications (Preferred Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)
- Possesses a SHRM- CP, SHRM- SCP, PHR, SPHR or GPHR
