Description
The selected candidate will be responsible for day-to-day execution of assigned Logistics Lead tasks for the program. The position is for a “working” lead that will develop work products. The Logistics Lead needs to be highly organized with the ability to multi-task many topics, be able to grasp the inter-relationships of organizations, and must have the ability to communicate verbally and non-verbally with a variety of people including customers, management, peers, and delegates.
The Logistics Lead is responsible for:
- Provides direction, support, and training as required for logistics liaison officers (LNO), procurement, warehousing, shipping and receiving, property management, maintenance planning and reporting, regulatory compliance, and OCONUS logisticians
- Provides direction to the LNO’s who are responsible for logistics coordination, supply planning, and distribution for the program(s) they support. LNO will plan bill of material for new project builds or site set up, initiate procurement of all material in accordance with scheduled milestone efforts, and coordinate distribution of material by coordinating with site operations personnel, maintenance teams, site logisticians and other stakeholders to ensure availability of critical spares, consumables, tools, and support equipment for their assigned program sustainment objectives
- Manages the local logistics team leads responsible for packaging, handling, storage, and transportation such as the warehouse manager, local logistics, and shipping and receiving managers.
- Responsible for problem escalation and resolution between cross functional teams with secondary Logistics responsibilities, reporting requirements, or database inputs
- Responsible for supply chain risk management objectives, counterfeit parts prevention, obsolescence, vendor list and vendor management
- Responsible for calibration, expiration, and warranty programs
- Responsible to deliver necessary CDRLs per schedule to the customer
- Responsible to work End of Life products to recommend solutions for replacement, work with the customer to present alternatives if needed and get products replaced in a timely fashion
- Responsible to manage cost and schedule by being a Control Account Manager (CAM)
- Develops Logistics Level of Effort (LOE) labor estimates for program and overhead work
- Author Basis of Estimates (BOE) for Logistics LOE
- Work with program management, pricing coordinator, and other directorates to build Other Direct Charges (ODC’s)
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 4+ years of professional experience; or 2+ years of professional experience with a related master’s degree
- Previous NAS/FAA site activation experience required
- US citizenship required
- Extensive knowledge on hardware, equipment, depot activities etc.
- Experience/knowledge as a CAM and EV methodology
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to demonstrate a commitment to personal and corporate excellence, ethical behavior and integrity
- Prior experience in a technical leadership role that requires significant coordination across multiple functional areas.
- Prior experience with cost accounting / earned value management/ownership
- Planning and Cost estimating experience
- Experience in team building, customer focus
- Experience with execution under Waterfall and/or Agile development methodologies
- Familiarity with the National Air Space and FAA NextGen Air Traffic control programs such as FAA facilities for various NextGen programs: ERIDS, ERAM, ATOP, TBFM
- Travel required up to 10%

Pay Range:
Pay Range $81,250.00 - $146,875.00
