The Role:
Hybrid: This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report onsite at the Milford Proving Ground - Bldg 22 & 23 HR, Security, Medical, Powertrain or Warren MI at least three times per week minimum or other frequency dictated by the business.

As a Low Voltage Analyst and Integration Engineer you will spend time in the vehicle integrating Low Voltage features while also spending time analyzing telemetry data to look for trends in performance. You will lead complex triage efforts and support PRTS burndown to ensure issues are resolved before getting to our customers. You will have the first look at exciting new technologies and bringing them to life in GM vehicles! This is a hands-on job and the end of the day you'll see the results that you accomplished during the day.
You'll be working on vehicle components, subsystems, and off-board data for different features/interfaces. This is an assignment where creativity, initiative, analytical skills, a deep understanding of our customers’ experience, and cross-functional teamwork is crucial and celebrated!
What You'll Do:
- Understand the detailed operation of the low voltage architecture both on and off vehicle.
- Analyze back-office data looking for trends and provide recommendations and solutions to further improve the design of the vehicle.
- Provide recommendations and solutions to improve how back-office data is presented in dashboards.
- Verify operation of low voltage architecture features that function on ECU/module/back-office interfaces such as CAN, Ethernet, LIN, VTM Tasks. Work is performed well in advance of vehicle integration timeline.
- Develop custom SW/HW tools as needed to improve work efficiency and results.
- Understand system configurations and develop optimal combinations for development and integration testing of new features.
- Fast feedback of requirements and early SW issues to Feature Owners/Systems Engineers/Development Engineers to improve spec robustness and SW quality.
- Acquire and analyze data logs such as Automotive Ethernet, CAN, and LIN for root cause identification.
- Follow-up to ensure issue resolution was performed properly and in a timely manner, own and drive issues to closure.
