Traffic Superintendents at Kiewit are critical for the safe operation of our jobsites. You will oversee traffic control operations, ensure safety and compliance, and coordinate efforts to maintain efficient construction progress while minimizing impacts to the traveling public.
Location
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee all traffic control operations for construction projects.
- Develop and implement traffic management plans in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Ensure proper placement, maintenance, and removal of traffic control devices.
- Promote a culture of safety by adhering to and enforcing company and project safety policies.
- Conduct routine safety audits and inspections of traffic control setups.
- Train and mentor team members on traffic control safety standards.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth traffic flow and construction progress.
- Act as the primary liaison with local government agencies, law enforcement, and the public for traffic-related concerns.
- Manage and supervise traffic control teams, including flaggers and subcontractors.
- Monitor and adjust traffic control plans as necessary based on project needs and changing conditions.
- Maintain detailed documentation of traffic control activities, incidents, and compliance.
- Optimize traffic operations to minimize delays and disruptions to the public.
Responsibilities
- 5+ years of experience in traffic control management, preferably in construction or infrastructure projects.
- Supervisory experience in a construction environment is highly desirable.
- Certification in Traffic Control (e.g., ATSSA or equivalent).
- Strong knowledge of BC MOT laws and regulations.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Proficiency in interpreting traffic control plans and diagrams.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is a plus.
Qualifications
This position will support construction of the 264th Street Interchange in Langley on BC Highway 1. #LI-RP1

Compensation: $100,000 - $120,000+
