This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report onsite at least three days a week in Warren or other facilities in SE Michigan as needed.
The Role:
The Service Information Developer (SID) is responsible for representing GM CCA Engineering to develop Service Information for diagnosing body/chassis control systems that improve the serviceability of GM vehicles, and to support warranty cost avoidance business cases.
In addition, this person will identify, develop, and release service information in accordance with product development milestones. Develop and validate service information procedures and related technical content.
What You'll Do:

Develop service information for diagnosing body/chassis control systems following Global Service Information Preparation Standards (GSIPS).

Review electrical schematics and other engineering data related to area of responsibility for technical accuracy.

Validate service information on vehicle.

Perform open and short testing on related circuitry to include the running and setting of DTCs (Diagnostic Trouble Codes) and document results.

Use of vehicle instrumentation including breakout boxes.

Use of Diagnostic Scan Tool.

Comprehend engineering specifications related to diagnostic algorithms and calibrations.

Interface and collaborate cross functionally with several different organizations to gather necessary information for developing diagnostic procedures.

Support DTC discrepancy and link error reports for body/chassis deliverables.

Investigate and resolve service information feedback.

Undertake special projects as needed to enhance organization processes.

Support TAC and Technical Training as needed.
