Job Description
As the Coordinating Producer for TODAY with HODA & JENNA, you will be responsible for translating the editorial vision for the show into an organized rundown and overseeing its live production on air. This includes building the daily schedule, making timing decisions, determining teases, directing elements, and facilitating post-production needs. The Coordinating Producer serves at the show’s primary liaison between the control room, studio, and editorial staff.
Responsibilities:
- Provide final oversight of all elements and call for them during the broadcast.
- Serve as line producer in the control room, maintaining the timing of the live and taped shows and guiding the teleprompter operator as copy evolves.
- Work closely with morning tape editors on last-minute additions and revisions.
- Manage all anchor tracks for cut spots and additional projects.
- Make final adjustments to the rundown before being distributed each night.
- Approve taped show edits with the post-production team.
- Act as primary show contact for editorial, control room and studio staff.
Qualifications
- At least 5 years of experience in television production, control room experience is a must
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism or related field, or equivalent work experience in broadcast production
- Experience in editorial and show production at the network level
- Passion for organization; ability to simplify complicated tasks under pressure
- Strong grammar, copy editing and communication skills, as well as editorial judgment
- Body of work which shows attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Must be willing to work overtime, nights, holidays, and weekends -- often with short notice
- Demonstrate knowledge and interest in current events and pop culture
- Must be willing to work in NYC

- Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of four days per week.
This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
